ihri at CHI' 26 in Barcelona, Spain

Our team recently attended the CHI conference, where we engaged with the broader research community through diverse sessions and networking events. We were particularly active in several specialized workshops, including, Restoring Human Authenticity in AI-Mediated Communication, Interactive AI for Human-Centered Robotics, AI for Haptics and Haptics for AI, The Co-Living between Reality and Virtuality as a Daily Routine. We also took full advantage of CHI’s newly updated format. The inclusion of dedicated meetup sessions provided excellent opportunities to explore emerging research areas, connect over shared interests, and participate in collaborative activities like Designathons and hands-on crafting. Dr. Max Pascher with Prof. Jens Gerken received 3rd place in the Best Paper Award for the Interactive AI for Human-Centered Robotics workshop at CHI'26. Congrats Max!
